McDonald's announce 'exciting' menu change with a 'twist'
McDonald’s has launched an “exciting” new addition to its menu. The fast-food retailer has introduced a “small twist” on a classic favourite breakfast item.
The new item will be mini hash browns - said to be perfect for those who love the crunchy taste of McDonald’s singular hash browns in the morning. The same fluffy potato will now be available to order but in a bite-sized version.
The miniature edition will be available from Wednesday, October 16 and will come in two convenient portions. A single portion, costing £1,49, will consist of five pieces, whereas a share box will set you back £2.99 and will have 15.

For a limited time only, the item will be offered exclusively during breakfast hours (6 am to 11 am) at participating McDonald’s locations. The morning menu offers McMuffins, breakfast wraps, cheesy flatbreads and more. However, it can be annoying when you arrive too early or late to enjoy the breakfast menu.
If you don't fancy a Big Mac for your breakfast, you'll want to know exactly when McDonald's starts and stops serving breakfast. McDonald's has explained they can't serve breakfast and the main menu simultaneously due to different cooking requirements.
They said: "Items on our breakfast menu are cooked slightly differently and at a different temperature from items on our main menu. This means we don't have enough space in our kitchens to accommodate the cooking and preparation of our breakfast and main menus at the same time.
“The 11 am cut-off enables us to accommodate our breakfast lovers, whilst allowing the customers who enjoy our main menu to get their food before 11:30am.”
