McDonald's customers boycott and 'won't eat there anymore' over UK-wide change

McDonald's fans have been left outraged after noticing a major shake-up to UK restaurant menus today. McDonald's has rolled out a raft of new items - including the new Hat Trick Burger - from Wednesday May 29 in a huge nationwide shake-up.

The new menu items include The Hat Trick £5.89 or Medium Meal - £7.69, McDonald’s Chicken Sharebox - £10.59 and 9 Chicken Select Sharebox - £8.49 as well as the Mozzarella Bites with a Rich Tomato Dip - £2.39, Skittles McFlurry - £2.19 and Iced Latte - £2.49.

Galaxy Caramel McFlurry - £2.19 and Galaxy Chocolate and Raspberry Pie - £1.99 completes the list. Axed from the menu includes the Biscoff McFlurry - £1.99 and Biscoff McFlurry mini - £1.59 as well as the Galaxy Caramel Pie - £1.99, the Biscoff Frappe - £2.99 and the Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry - £1.99.

Other menu items being axed include the Galaxy Chocolate Mini McFlurry - £1.59, the Quarter Pounder Deluxe - £4.89, the Quarter Deluxe Medium Meal - £6.59, the Chicken Big Mac - £4.69, the Chicken Big Mac Meal - £6.49 and the Cheese & Herb Melts - £2.89.

The Cheese & Herb Melts Sharebox - £7.09 was also axed. Replying to the shake-up on Twitter/X, a fan wrote: "It all looks rank. The price is excruciating, too." Another said: "The pie and McFlurry sound awful." A third said: "A long time ago, they had a burger called Homestyle. It was real beef and excellent. It had the works on it. They should bring it back."

"Too bad they don’t DROP the prices… used to be a go to place. Don’t eat there anymore, too pricey and other places have way better burgers," another fumed. Another said: "*DISCLAIMER* If you're in the United States, you're out of luck. The items shown only are available in the United Kingdom."
