McDonald's fans hail new menu item as 'absolute game changer'

Fast-food giant McDonald's has added a brand new item to its saver menu this week - and fans are loving it.

The burger chain launched its double chilli cheeseburger across its UK stores on Wednesday (6 November) costing just £2.49 from the saver menu.

The new burger features two beef patties, two slices of cheese, onions, jalapenos, pickles and spicy relish in a toasted bun.

And Maccies fans have taken to social media to express their excitement about the new menu drop. Writing on X, formerly Twitter, @SkintyalFia wrote on X: “That new double chilli cheeseburger at Maccies is an absolute game changer”.

@Cpfcdazzler86 said: “Bravo @McDonaldsUK - chilli double cheeseburger is the best thing I’ve ever eaten from you”.

@ONEBRITISH_JOHN simply said the new burger is “ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!”

McDonalds other saver items include fries and hamburger for £1.19 each, mayo chicken for £1.39, side salad for £1.09 plus more food items.

The full McDonald's saver menu is: Chilli Double Cheeseburger, Double Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger, Hamburger, Mayo Chicken, Small fries, Small chocolate milkshake, Small strawberry milkshake, Small banana milkshake, Small vanilla milkshake, Mini Oreo McFlurry, Mini Maltesers McFlurry, Mini Smarties McFlurry.

Last month, McDonalds launched a £5 meal deal which allows customers to get four items for a fiver. You choose between two different burgers then you get chicken nuggets along with a medium drink and fries. This would usually cost £7.46 so customers can save £2.50 by opting for this deal.

McDonalds often updates its seasonal menus and brings limited-edition items onto its saver menu.
