It might be mid Veganuary but it hasn't stopped McDonalds from making vegans the happiest people in the world.

If you're a bit partial to a Maccy D's you'll be thrilled by the wondrous news that there's a new addition to the menu.

Officially launched as a trial last October in Tampere Finland, the aptly named McVegan has proved a great, great success.

Because McDonalds likes a good buck (or billion), it's decided to make the animal-cruelty free burger a permanent fixture on its already bulging menu.

If you don't believe us, here's proof:

So, what's in it? Instead of a (questionable) beef patty, you've got a soy-bean patty, tomatoes, salad and pickles wedged in between those infamously soft buns. If that's not enough, it has even created a special vegan McFeast sauce to give that extra special kick.

Sadly, it's only available in Sweden and Finland at the moment, but with vegan fever taking over the UK of late (thanks to Veganuary) there's no reason why the fabulous creation shouldn't hit London very, very soon.
