McDonald's has introduced something for the "first time ever" across the UK, but a number of Plymouth restaurants will miss out. Earlier this month, the fast food giant confirmed its new October menu earlier this month, with the return of some seasonal fan favourites, such as the McCrispy Deluxe, as well as new items, including Cheese Bites.
Now, McDonald's has said it is rolling out a tempting new £5 meal deal, meaning customers can customise their own meal by choosing a Cheeseburger or Mayo Chicken, as well as a medium drink, medium fries, and four Chicken McNuggets. The offer means diners will save £2.50 per meal.

A McDonald's spokesperson said: "Tired of a ham sandwich, ready salted crisps and a water? Meal Deals just got a WHOLE lot tastier as McDonald’s UK announces the launch of its FIRST EVER £5 Meal Deal across all participating restaurants.
"No matter if you’re a beef lover or a chicken connoisseur, you’ll be able to choose either a Cheeseburger or Mayo Chicken as your burger option. With four Chicken McNuggets not available to buy separately on the regular menu, this offer is more than just value for money – it’s truly unique!"
But it's bad news for many McDonald's fans whose nearest restaurants are excluded from the offer. The list of restaurants that are not participating in the promotion includes the Plymouth New George Street, Plymouth Marsh Mills, Plymouth Tavistock Road, Plymouth New George Street, Plymouth Billacombe, and Plymouth Burrington Way restaurants.
Other locations where the deal is not available are the branch in Saltash, as well as Cobham MSA, Walkden, Tyldesley, ASDA Leigh, Leigh, Leigh Retail Park, Teesside, Stockton On Tees, Portrack Lane, Thornaby Road, Holyhead Road, and West Brom.
