Yahoo News McDonald's Monopoly prizes unveiled including £100k cash and Jet2 holiday
McDonald's has revealed a plethora of prizes as its iconic Monopoly game is set to return in just a few weeks. The fast-food giant will relaunch the popular game in outlets nationwide on Wednesday, September 4, and has now disclosed what customers could win.
Prizes range from cash, travel, experiences, electronics, beauty products and much more. This year's top prize includes £100,000 cash for five fortunate customers, while 21 players could drive away with a brand new MINI Electric Car.
A total of 90 lucky punters could bag a £2,000 Jet2holiday and 100 people stand a chance to win £1,000 instant cash. There are also 2,000 McDonald's Gold Cards up for grabs via the McDonald's App.
Winners of a McDonald's Gold Card will enjoy one free meal every week for an entire year. Other enticing prizes include a £100 Virgin Experience Day, 200 Train Credit with TrainPal, a two-night stay at Best Western, and a Merlin Annual Pass for four.
Additionally, there will be countless opportunities to win instant food prizes and Rewards points at McDonald's, along with thousands of pieces of exclusive McDonald's merchandise such as Neon Lights, Socks, Bean Bags, and Key Rings, reports the Mirror.
The popular Monopoly game from McDonald's, which first launched in 2005, operates similarly to the classic board game. Customers can win prizes by collecting game pieces from selected menu items such as fries, wraps, drinks and McFlurry's.
By simply peeling off the game pieces from these items, customers can instantly win free food or Instant Win prizes. Fans can also collect Property pieces of the same colour for a bigger prize via the McDonald's App, where they will then get a Digital Peel for another chance to win.
Both existing and new customers who are signed up to My McDonald's Rewards will also receive a FREE code to play.
