McLaren Newport Beach in California was the sole dealer to take delivery of 10 special edition, race-inspired MSO X supercars. Based on the 570S Coupe, all 10 vehicles feature racing touches such as a huge rear wing, carbon fibre air intake and unique rear bumper and liveries inspired by McLaren F1 GTR racers of the mid-90s.

To hand over 10 such special cars couldn't have been done without some pomp and circumstance, and so McLaren Newport Beach decided the best way for its clients to experience their new cars was at an ultra-exclusive launch event at Laguna Seca raceway in California.

The dealership produced a promotional video showing off the ten cars in all their glory. Each MSO X has performance to back up its race-inspired looks – powered by a 570bhp 3.8-litre V8 engine, they're capable of accelerating from 0-60mph in less than three seconds.

Entering the cabin, the race theme continues, with four-point safety harnesses for the carbon-fibre racing seats. The carbon chassis has also been uncovered to show the car's construction off in all of its glory, while the bulkhead has been redesigned to accommodate a racing helmet.
