The Duchess of Cambridge marked her return to public engagements this week (Tuesday, 15 September) as she and the Duke of Cambridge made a visit to a bagel bakery in Brick Lane to highlight how communities have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

William and Kate, both wearing face coverings, also visited a jobcentre in London Bridge, and the London Muslim Centre in Whitechapel.

The duchess wore a floral print midi dress from Beulah, which she first wore back in May, and a new pair of gold pyramid charm hoops from Missoma.

Rhodochrosite also contains properties that promote confidence and self-love. Missoma was founded by Marisa Hordern, her mother Michele and sister Sophie. The brand celebrate their love of crystals and explore their mystical energy and healing properties.

"Protection, Self-love, Direction and Confidence – we all need certain aspects of these to help guide us through life’s journey. We hope our Meaningful Gemstones help keep you on your path to happiness, fulfilment and success," Missoma said of their ethos.

Meanwhile, during the royal couple's visit to Beigel Bake Brick Lane Bakery, they heard how the 24-hour bakery was forced to reduce their opening hours which affected staff, as well as the ways in which the shop has helped the local community through food donation and delivery.

The owners have since joined a food donation programme, Feast, which make deliveries to vulnerable people in the area, and business has started to pick up, despite reduced tourist numbers. William and Kate joined staff to help make dough-balls behind the counter.

The Cambridge family had been staying at their country home of Amner Hall in Norfolk on the Queen's Sandringham Estate during lockdown, but are said to be back at their residence in Kensington Palace as Prince George and Princess Charlotte return to school in Battersea.
