Drivers need to pull over as soon as their car does this one thing, a mechanic has warned. Scotty Kilmer, a viral content creator who has a loyal following on YouTube, has spoken out in a latest clip for road users and motorists to listen to.

Scotty said that drivers should pull over as soon as possible if their car pulls to one side when braking. Scotty said: "Today I'm going to tell you what it means when you hit your brakes and your car pulls to one side. Now, when your brakes pull to one side, it generally means there's a problem on the side it is pulling towards.

"So, if it's pulling to the right, jack it up and try spinning the wheel. If it's sticking, that means your brake caliper is sticking on and needs to be fixed. And, when it's jacked up, if it isn't dragging, grab the wheel. If it clunks, it could be a worn tie rod - you'll see it clunking back and forth."

He added: "Realise that even a tyre that is very low on air will pull to a side when braking, so check the air pressures first!" A viewer replied to say: "Scotty does such a service to society. This is great knowledge for all people.

"I liked the way you explained, it is very clear and informative," a second said. "Scotty's car is so clean that even the tire tread are clean," another wrote. A fellow user said: "What about when it pulls to one side without braking, and tires/pressure are fine?

"My rear right wheel seems to be holding up when the car sits for more than 3 days. I pumped all tires and the issue persists, so I assume the problem is with the little "thing" for the brake shoes (it's a drumb brake). Also, when I go over bumpy roads or take turns at "higher speed" the car feels like it will flip over. I suspect bad shocks, but I'm not sure if I need to replace the springs as well?" another aasked.

"Scotty I had my brakes done in Mazda dealership. They were also de-airing braking system. When I push 180 on motorway and brake strongly, the car is pulling right. Did they do it wrong?" another asked.
