Meet the team behind Leeds United's ambitious Elland Road dream

Leeds United will work with three major developers as their plans for Elland Road unfold - with experience in developing the 2012 London Olympics venue to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Club owners 49ers Enterprise have plenty of experience in the field, overseeing the building of the iconic Levi’s Stadium in California, they have enlisted the skills of some of the leading agencies for their new plans in Leeds.

The club will work closely with Professional Team RISE, KSS and Buro Happold to turn their Elland Road plans into reality, with all three firms having experience in major stadium builds.

A statement from the club read: "The revitalisation of Elland Road Stadium will see 49ers Enterprises bring their expertise from the US, in overseeing a UK-based project team which includes stadium-specialist architects KSS, structural engineers Buro Happold and management team at RISE, whose leadership team managed the delivery of some of the most successful mixed-use projects in the UK."

RISE were behind the creation of 'Straford City' in the UK's London 2012 Olympic project, with the aim of making a suitable venue for the community for years to come. According to Leeds, RISE 'specialise in unlocking the potential of projects, delivering significant value for partners and positive impact for the communities in which they operate;.

Bupo Happold will lead the engineering of the Elland Road project in Leeds, having played a key role in the development of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while KSS are 'an award-winning sports stadia architectural studio' which will ead the design team.
