Megan Barton-Hanson has explained that Instagram feud with Dancing on Ice professional Vanessa Bauer, telling Loose Women that she was "angry" and "really hurt".

Appearing on today's (January 17) Loose Women, Megan admitted that she is "jealous" of boyfriend Wes Nelson's Dancing on Ice gig but wants to focus on him and his ability.

Reflecting on the press noise following her appearance on Sunday's Dancing on Ice, Megan told the panel: "It was the first ever time I saw Wes on Dancing on Ice, he smashed it [and] he got the best scores out of everyone. It was just taken away from him."

Explaining her frustration with Wes and his partner Vanessa Bauer, Megan said that although her Love Island boyfriend had invited her to watch their training sessions, she wanted Vanessa to reach out directly.

"If you're gonna spend three months with someone, 10 hours a day, it would just be natural [to speak to their partner]," she argued. "As a woman, she should have reached out to me and introduced herself to me."

Megan also denied that she was insecure, saying it's "human nature" to feel uncomfortable while watching your "boyfriend do romantic dances with someone".

Despite the situation, which she called "not ideal", Megan insists that she trusts Wes and wants everyone to focus on him rather than "the politics behind it".

"I think they're going to smash it," she declared, before admitting that she and Vanessa are now "resolving" the issue between them.

We'll still be watching this weekend's episode like hawks, though.

Dancing on Ice continues this Sunday (January 20) on ITV. Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm also on ITV.
