Megan Barton Hanson SLAMS Wes Nelson's 'disrespectful' Dancing On Ice partner Vanessa Bauer

Love Island star Megan Barton Hanson has fuelled her feud with boyfriend Wes Nelson’s Dancing On Ice partner Vanessa Bauer.

Barton Hanson branded the ice skating professional “disrespectful” as she railed against their “romantic” routines, saying that it was going to be “difficult” to support him on the show.

The 24-year-old sparked a furious fight with Bauer after she announced her split from her boyfriend just hours before hitting the ice with Nelson.

And Barton Hanson has made it quite clear that she believes the break-up announcement was to “hype” up the performance – accusing her of “tactics” – before scolding Bauer for not inviting her down to watch her partner train.

In a revealing interview, Barton Hanson told The Sun: “Every woman will tell you it’s not ideal to have your boyfriend spending 12 hours a day with another woman – a little introduction from Vanessa would have gone a long way.

“Dancing on Ice is very romantic and all about looking into each other’s eyes and parading around on the ice and being loved up together – it’s not easy to watch.

“Wes is my main priority, I love him. I am so passionate about him but it is going to be difficult now. I want to back him, but I don’t want to feel awkward.”

The former glamour model also alleged that Bauer knew she would face questions about Nelson and the gruelling training routine, hinting that she wanted to maximise coverage.

But, despite a furious rant on Instagram aimed at Bauer, which has since been deleted , Barton Hanson insisted that she is not a “possessive girlfriend” and that she wanted Bauer to “reach out”.

Barton Hanson said: “I’m not going to backtrack. I was riled up, I let my passion and anger get the better of me but there’s no manual.

“I don’t want to be a possessive girlfriend. I want her to reach out to me. I’ve had no communication with her for the past three months. I’m not jealous; it is just a lack of respect. I was pushed over the edge.”

Nelson, 20, made his Dancing On Ice debut last Sunday when he topped the leaderboard for week two with 25 points.

But things soon turned awkward when Christopher Dean called the pair a “beautiful looking couple” with Barton Hanson sitting in the audience .

A source close to Bauer said: "Vanessa did not ‘announce’ her split. She has never discussed her private life and as always wants to stay focused on her professional commitments."
