Yahoo News Will Megan McKenna return for TOWIE Christmas special?
The cast of The Only Way is Essex has revealed that Megan McKenna will not be returning for the show's festive special.
Speaking to The Mirror alongside Lauren Pope and Dan Edgar, Chloe Sims revealed Megan would not be returning for The Only Way Is Essexmas when it airs later this month.
"She's gone and literally everybody got on," Chloe said.
"There was a little bit of drama, but everyone had the best time filming that Christmas special in Suffolk."
Megan revealed she would be taking time out from the series earlier this year to work on her country music career.
The reality star climbed to the top of the charts in September, with two of her country singles 'High-Heeled Shoes' and 'Far Cry' outranking Taylor Swift's '...Ready For It?"
However, it was also rumoured Megan would be taking a break from the show after clashing with several members of the cast following her second break-up with Pete Wicks.
The couple began dating again earlier this year, but parted ways once more in the most recent TOWIE series.
It later emerged that Megan had been spotted with her ex-boyfriend Harry Eden not long after their break up, causing the TOWIE cast to rally around Pete.
The series end saw Pete and Chloe end their feud and make amends, Lauren Pope and Jon Clark call quits on their short-lived romance, and Arg telling Gemma Collins he wasn't interested. in a relationship.
Nonetheless, some first-look photos for the The Only Way Is Essexmas have teased another holiday hook-up for the duo -- so who knows what will happen...
The Only Way Is Essexmas will air on Sunday, December 17 on ITV Be.
