The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently on a royal tour of Australia. The 16-day trip is filled with 76 engagements and will also see the couple travel to Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand.

Not only is it the royal couple’s first official tour since getting married in May but, upon landing in Sydney, the couple also announced that they are expecting their first child in the spring of 2019.

As if anticipation from royal commentators and fashion fans about how modern Meghan would sartorially approach her first royal tour wasn't enough, now all eyes are on the duchess to see how that translates to a maternity wardrobe.

From paying homage in Australian designers to shining a spotlight on sustainable brands, here is every single outfit the duchess has donned on the royal tour so far:

Day 1: Sydney

For their first day in Sydney, Meghan arrived at Admiralty House in a simple white shift dress. Following the royal baby news, the classic number was aptly called the 'Blessed Dress' and also paid homage to their host country as it was by Australian designer Karen Gee.

Meghan also chose to accessorise the ensemble with a pair of butterfly earrings and a bracelet, which had touchingly belonged to Harry's late mother, Princess Diana.

Their next stops, which included a trip to Taronga Zoo, as well as meeting members of the public outside the Opera House, saw Meghan wrap up in a beige trench coat by Melbourne-born designer Martin Grant - changing for the afternoon reception into a forest green button-up dress with pleated skirt by Brandon Maxwell.

Day 2: Dubbo

For their second day, which saw the couple take a trip to Dubbo, Meghan opted for a more dressed down ensemble, pairing black skinny jeans with a white oversized shirt and checked blazer.

Although the outfit may have seemed simple, it was once again loaded with personal touches.

The trendy checked blazer was designed by her good friend, tennis champion Serena Williams. The plaid print "Boss Oversized Blazer" retailing for a reasonable £110.

Meanwhile, her black jeans were by Aussie brand Outland Denim, which was created by James Bartle to help survivors and sex and human trafficking in Cambodia. Meghan also complemented her relaxed look with a simple low ponytail.

On day three Meghan wore two chic dresses for a trip to Melbourne. The first, a striking royal blue dress by yet another Australian designer, Dion Lee.

In the afternoon, the couple then made a quick stop at Melbourne Beach, where she changed into a black dress with gold-tone buttons by Club Monaco.

She covered up throughout the day once again in the beige trench coat by Martin Grant, and upon hitting the beach, sensibly changed out of her Manolo Blahniks into a pair of sustainable Rothy's pumps.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex started day four with yet another trip to the beach, this time Sydney's famous Bondi Beach.

Meghan arrived in a statement striped maxi dress by Australian designer Martin Grant, a brand she has already worn multiple times during the royal tour.

She paired the dress from the designer's Resort 2019 collection with a pair of wedged espadrilles by Spanish brand Castañer and wore her hair in a sleek ponytail.

For the afternoon activities - a visit to Macarthur Girls High School before meetings with Australian dignitaries - Meghan switched up her style, changing into a two-tone blue dress by British brand Roksanda.

She subtly accessorised the elegant A-line dress with blue topaz earrings, which were highlighted by her half-up half-down hairstyle and a slim silver bracelet, both by Meghan's go-to Canadian jewellers, Birks.

And with a jam packed schedule for 13 more days, we are sure there will be plenty more elegant maternity ensembles from Meghan still to come.
