Meghan Markle 'planning solo US trip to see friends and family'

Meghan Markle is reportedly planing a solo trip to the US to see her friends and family.

The 36-year-old is said to be taking an “unofficial trip” without Prince Harry to spent time with those who know her best.

A source told US Weekly: “She’s planning a personal, unofficial trip this summer to see family and friends.

"She’ll go to New York then LA.”

According to the magazine, the Duchess of Sussex wants to return home to America before she becomes a mother, and the source has suggested she and Harry could have their first child by 2019.

The solo trip is understood to be planned for before Meghan and Harry embark on their first royal tour this October, where it is expected the couple will visit Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and the Kingdom of Tonga.

The magazine also reported that Meghan and Harry wish to visit America next year, in the spring, so Meghan can “introduce Harry to everything she loves about the US”.

The source added: “Meghan and Harry want to solidify ties between the UK and the US. They want to highlight and foster these relationships.”

Reports of Meghan’s trip home have come days after her half-sister, Samantha Markle , posted a furious rant on Twitter about her sibling.

She hit out at Meghan after their father Thomas claimed he had not heard from her for two months and said she would hold her responsible if he died.
