Meghan Markle is making Prince Harry 'boring', rants Piers Morgan

Piers Morgan thinks Meghan Markle has turned Prince Harry into “a robot”.

According to reports, the Duchess of Sussex has banned Prince Harry from drinking alcohol and anything with caffeine in it, including tea and coffee. The heir to the throne also reportedly quit smoking after meeting his future bride-to-be, but it was a speech that Harry gave at a WE Day UK event that provoked Morgan’s ire on Good Morning Britain today.

The former Daily Mirror editor lambasted Meghan for making the prince “boring”.

“I preferred him when he was playing naked billiards in Vegas,” Morgan said, referencing naked photos of the prince that were leaked to the press in 2012.

“I’m not being funny, but what has happened to him? He can’t have a drink, he can’t have caffeine, he’s reading out this guff.”

Morgan’s co-host Susannah Reid defended the prince, interrupting Morgan’s rant to tell him: “He doesn’t have to give up alcohol and caffeine, he has his own mind.”

Morgan responded: “He doesn’t have his own mind, he’s reading like a robot.”

The outspoken TV host then went on to question whether Harry had even written the speech he’d read at the charity event which aims to inspire young people be a part of positive social change around the world.

Harry gave the speech last week, before being joined on stage by his pregnant wife. In it he gave young people a “to do” list for the future.

“You know that if you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for anything.

So let that be your true north, let that be your call to action—to inspire those who stand for nothing, to stand for something—and to stand with you.

So what’s next, what’s on your to-do list starting now…

Be braver.

Be stronger.

Be kind to each other.

Be kind to yourselves.

Have less screen time, and more face to face time.

Exceed expectations.

Eliminate plastics.

Conserve water.

Protect wildlife and their unique habitat.

Keep empathy alive.

Ask your friends how they are doing and listen to the answer.

Be honest.

Take risks.

Change your thoughts and change the world.

Dare to be the greatest generation of all time.

I am with you, we are with you! Get to work.”
