  • Meghan Markle is planning to raise baby Archie with American traditions, according to a new report.

  • The duchess is allegedly keen to take her son to Los Angeles, where she grew up.

  • A source tells Us Weekly that Prince Harry and Meghan "want their son to lead a normal life."

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their first baby-Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor-on May 6, 2019.

As Meghan was born and raised in America, there has already been much discussion regarding baby Archie's citizenship, especially as he is entitled to be both British and America.

And now, Us Weekly is reporting that, according to a source, "For Meghan, it’s just as important for Archie to learn about her family history as it is for him to learn about his royal ancestors, so she plans to go on a trip to L.A. with him once she’s comfortable taking him on a plane." It makes sense that Meghan would want to introduce Archie to his American heritage, as well as his British roots.

The source also explained, "Meghan likes to do things her way," then continued, "She’s a very strong woman who wants to use her role to modernize the monarchy, which is one of the reasons she and Harry decided to reject a title for Archie. They want their son to lead a normal life."

Understandably, Meghan might not want to travel with baby Archie just yet, especially as he isn't even a month old. But it seems as though it might not be long until Harry and Meghan's son sets foot on American soil.
