Meghan Markle walks down the aisle BEFORE Royal Wedding 2018... as character Rachel Zane ties the knot in Suits

Meghan Markle has had a practice run down the aisle as her Suits character Rachel Zane said ‘I do’ in the preview for her final episodes.

Markle, who will marry Prince Harry on May 19, is leaving the popular drama at the end of season seven which is currently airing in the US, and on Netflix the day after.

Markle’s character Rachel Zane is seen preparing to marry on-screen love interest Mike Ross, played by Patrick J Adams, in the preview for next week’s episode.

The wedding will take place during the double bill of episodes marking the end of the season and both actors’ role in the show.

At the very beginning of the teaser, Mike says to Rachel that they should “do this” to which Rachel replies “this is so exciting!”.

Later, Markle’s character is overcome with emotion as she looks around, saying: “I can't believe it -- this could really happen.”

As the two hold hands at the altar, Mike tells Rachel: “'I've wanted to marry you from the second I met you.”

Rachel responds: “You are the husband I've always wanted. I love you, and always will.”

Soon after Markle became engaged to Prince Harry in November 2017, it was announced that she would not reprise her role in Suits.

Producers announced earlier this year that Katherine Heigl would join the cast to fill the gap left by Markle, as Samantha Wheeler, a new partner at law firm Pearson Specter Litt.

Suits is available on Netflix, with the final episodes from season seven on Thursday 26 April.
