Paparazzi has continued to document Meghan Markle living her best life in Canada here and there, and she indulged them this weekend. The Duchess of Sussex went on a hike with her son Archie and two dogs. She was photographed with a big, genuine smile on her face. She kept her son close to her and wisely, his face away from the camera. Meghan had her hair in a braid and wore a cream beanie with a black jacket and pants. The Sun ran a photo of her on its cover:
Meghan out and about with Archie & two dogs in Canada-smiling very happily for a photographer. In 🇬🇧 the PPOs would not allow this photo to happen & most “off-duty” pix of royals never see the light of day. Harry is en route to 🇨🇦 to join his family. Nice to see her beaming. pic.twitter.com/k6cocKAoPB— Emily Andrews (@byEmilyAndrews) January 20, 2020
The preliminary details of Meghan and Harry's stepping back from their senior royal family roles were hammered out last week in London. Meghan remained in Canada with Archie. She did little mundane things she hadn't been able to do as a royal as easily: She drove, went to a drug store, and was photographed picking her friend up from the airport. She also visited two organizations focused on helping women. The rest of her life has remained private, as it should. She's no longer a full-time working royal.
Prince Harry arrived back in Canada yesterday evening, after attending the meetings regarding how his and Meghan's progressive new roles in the family would work. These were not tense discussions, a source told ELLE this weekend: “The discussions were all extremely friendly and constructive because the common goal was clear as was the desire to reach a successful conclusion. Everyone is pleased."
A member of the family additionally told ELLE, "Everyone ultimately just wants Harry and Meghan to be happy."
