Meghan Markle’s BFF Just Made a Rare Public Statement About the Duchess...& Then Deleted it

Meghan Markle and Jessica Mulroney may or may not still be best friends, but there seems to be no bad blood either way, according to Mulroney’s latest statement.

On Friday, the Canadian stylist and brand strategist posted a brief statement on Instagram addressing her current relationship with the Duchess of Sussex. “I’m going to tell this once and for all. Meghan and I are family. She is the kindest friend and has checked up on me every day,” Mulroney wrote on her Instagram Story. “Tabloid culture is atrocious. It creates lies and hurtful storyline. Stop feeding into it. Done.” Unfortunately, the post has since been deleted.

Mulroney’s words come just weeks after she finally returned to social media and spoke out about why she recently deleted her throwback photo of Markle. On another Instagram Story, she explained, “People often ask why I delete certain posts. The amount of bullying and hatred I’ve had to put up with for 3 years….I’m tired of looking at it. Be kind. Be gracious. We are grown-ups…stop acting like teenagers. Real women don’t put down other women.”

ICYMI: The stylist has recently been facing criticism on social media after she was accused of using her white privilege to silence Black influencer Sasha Exeter. Mulroney publicly apologized but has since lost a handful of business opportunities as well a decent amount of her following. As a result, fans and outlets shared rumors of a rift between Markle and Mulroney.

We’re not exactly sure what’s going on behind the scenes, but we love the positivity and empowering message behind Mulroney’s recent words.
