Today marks some pretty huge changes for Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, as they transition into their trial year of being non-senior royals. As well as recently leaving Canada to set up home in Los Angeles, their titles will also change. But, one thing that we're fairly certain will stay the same, is Meghan's incredible hair. Bear with us...

Her hairdresser, George Northwood, has taken to Instagram to wish the family luck with their new start and share a series of iconic images of Meghan, rocking various hair styles that he created for her. He also shared his thoughts on what it's like to work with somebody who is so in the public eye. Presumably, Northwood is only able to discuss his work and close relationship with Meghan now that she's no longer a senior royal (which he eludes to in his caption by saying "so happy to now be able to share our special time together").

Northwood captioned his six posts (which include not only Meghan's evening reception on her wedding day, as well as her recent sleek ponytail) with a sweet message:

'It has been an enormous privilege and a lot of fun working with the The Duke and Duchess of Sussex over the past two years.

'I have enjoyed every minute collaborating with this amazing couple who not only champion small businesses but have taught me so much about diversity, equality and the importance of good mental health. Here are a few of their many wonderful moments that I was honoured to be a part of.

'Harry, Meghan and Archie, wishing you much love and luck for your next exciting chapter! Can’t wait to see you one day soon - and so happy to now be able to share about our special time together.'

Sharing more details in an interview with The Telegraph, Northwood described the couple as a 'powerhouse'.

'I became so close to them both, they’re such a powerhouse and they really want to make a difference, that just shines through,' he said. 'I was quite nervous [when we first met], she was so lovely and down to earth. She said ‘I’m just a Cali girl’ and I love that California hair. I felt so at ease right away.'

Describing Meghan's typical look, Northwood said it's a cross between "accessible and like a people’s princess that everyone relates to". We'd say he hit that nail squarely on the head, given that Meghan has firmly cemented her status as a much-adored style icon. He also described her as a 'role model for minorities'.

Great work, George Northwood! Now, please excuse us while we desperately try to book in with you for a post-pandemic blow dry.
