Meghan Trainor has opened up about what should have been the happiest night of her career so far, admitting that cruel Twitter trolls bombarded her with hate after she won her first Grammy.

The star won the prestigious ‘Best New Artist’ award last month and has admitted that afterwards she was the target of fat-shaming messages.
Meghan explained: “I woke up after the Grammys to messages saying: 'You fat whale, that award should have gone to Tori Kelly, give it back’. These people can be ruthless.
"I try not to read online comments as they can be really hurtful.”
She added that she is insecure about her size “all the time”, telling Fabulous magazine: “I went into a store recently to buy a winter jacket, and the only size I could get into was an XL. Even that barely fit.
"People always tell me: 'You’re not even that big’ But moments like that can sting. I left the shop feeling sad and p*ssed off.”

Well we reckon Meghan is absolutely gorge and the size written on the label of her, or anyone’s, winter coat couldn’t matter less.
