Mel B backtracks on Geri Horner sex claims as she reveals she had a ‘long conversation’ with Spice Girls bandmate after bombshell interview

Mel B has revealed she had a “long conversation” with Geri Horner after she appeared to confess to having sex with her Spice Girls bandmate.

The singer, real name Melanie Brown, made the shock admission on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories after the presenter asked if there was any truth in the rumours.

Brown said the girl group had “all slept in a bed together” but that it was “not like that”. She then smiled and nodded when Morgan asked if it was “like that” with Horner.

But Brown has since backtracked, claiming she never admitted to sleeping with Horner and that the press have “taken it onto a whole other level”.

Speaking on Australian radio show 2Day 104.1 she said: “I didn’t actually really admit anything.

“I just said we had a ‘thing’. It wasn’t a big deal. It was one of those things that happened one night. I didn’t go into detail about it at all it’s the press that have taken it onto a whole other level. I just say it was like a little thing and we giggled about it the next day.”

Brown said she had a long phone call with Horner after her interview with Morgan and told her not to worry about the headlines.

“I was on the phone with Geri,” she said. “I texted her and said I admitted on Piers that we had a little thing so don’t worry about it, it was all tongue in cheek and I didn’t go into detail and it was pre your husband and pre your babies and mine.

“We had a long conversation. She texted me the night of and then we spoke at length today.”

Morgan shared a clip on Good Morning Britain of his interview with Brown, and claimed Melanie Chisholm, who was in the audience, was “running about wondering what Brown had done” after the show.

Horner, who has yet to comment on Brown’s claim, once joked she would “s***” Brown after being asked by a fan which Spice Girls bandmate was her favourite.

“I probably want to marry Emma and s*** Mel B. She’s the top,” Horner said in an MTV recording from 1997.
