Mel B has said COVID is “no joke” as she revealed that she’s still in bed battling the virus after five weeks.
The Spice Girl posted a collage of photos on Instagram showing her on holiday in the Maldives but told fans that they were throwback snaps and that she was actually in bed recovering after contracting the coronavirus.
She revealed that she’d had COVID for five weeks but was now “getting over the final long haul”.
“In my head I’m here @youandmemaldives,” Mel labelled the shots of herself swimming and soaking up the sun.

“Ahhhh what a beautiful place, sunshine crystal clear sea, being totally spoilt rotten in my private villa named after me.
“But in reality right now I’m curled up in bed getting over the final long haul of COVID.”
The singer shared sick and sneezing emojis and the hashtags "#itsbeen5weeksnow #takemeback to #paradise #covidisnojoke #mydogs #thebestsnuggler."
“Thank God for #netflix,"she added.
Mel, 46, was inundated with get well soon messages from her friends and fans after sharing that she was unwell.
“Sending lots of hugs!” wrote one well-wisher, while another assured the star: “You will be back there soon.
“Rest is all you can do right now and you are through the worst!”
