Mel B ends decade-long feud with her sister following her father's death

It appears that Mel B has ended her decade-long feud with her younger sister, Danielle, in light of her father’s tragic death at the weekend.

Mel and Danielle’s dad, Martin, sadly passed away at the age of 63 following a five-year battle with multiple myeloma cancer.

Taking to her Instagram account, Mel broke the news to her followers as she shared a photo of herself and Danielle holding hands with their father, requesting privacy so that she can grieve.

Captioning the photo, Mel wrote: “It is with great sadness after a 5yr battle to multiple myeloma cancer our loving father Martin Brown passed away age 63 peacefully yesterday.

“Both of us his children were by his side and would like to say thank you to St Gemma’s and all the doctors and nurses for there amazing care and support over the years.

“Please respect our privacy and let us as a united family grieve. With love and respect, Melanie and Danielle Brown.

“Be free dad.”

Melanie and Danielle fell out in 2007 over Mel’s marriage to husband Stephen Belafonte, and just last month Danielle took to her Twitter account to deny that the family rift had been healed.

The TV presenter wrote to her 23,000 followers: “Just 2 put the record strait! Ive Not seen my sister for 8 years,there is no family reunion planned, it is what it is #dontbelievewhatyouread [sic]”.

She continued: “Hate talking bout family stuff on social media but also hate reading crap lies and random people asking me nonsense #dontbelievewhatyouread [sic]”

However, it looks like the sisters were able to patch things up for their father’s final days and we are sending them both all of our love at this incredibly sad time.
