Mel B Says Spice Girls Reunion Will Now Be In 2017

We’ve got some good news and some bad news.

The good news is that Mel B has confirmed that the Spice Girls are still planning to do something to celebrate their anniversary, despite Mel C and Victoria Beckham reportedly declining to take part.

The bad news? Those highly-teased reunion tour plans have been pushed back to 2017.

Patience is a virtue, right?

Next week will mark the 20th anniversary of Spice Girls’ iconic single ‘Wannabe’ (which makes us feel really, really old), but it seems the band have faced difficulties in finalising tour plans.

Speaking on US chat show Live with Kelly in New York, Mel B was asked if a reunion tour was in the works.

Explaining the situation, Scary Spice said: “It is our 20th anniversary this year and this would be the perfect year, but places get booked out this year, so what we’ll hopefully do is planning on doing something to celebrate next year.

“But it’s something that we want to do and it will be nice to kind of celebrate and give back to all the fans and stuff.”

She jokingly added: “I’m not getting any younger. Let’s hurry up and get this done!”

As desperate as we are to have the Spice Girls back, we’re sure whatever they plan will be well worth the wait.
