Mel C is “absolutely” on board with plans to take the Spice Girls tour worldwide.

It has been reported that Sporty Spice wants to focus on her solo music career, casting doubt on the bands plans to take their Spice World reunion tour around the globe next year.

But a spokesman for Mel C told Yahoo UK: “Melanie will absolutely continue if that’s what the plan is.”

The When You’re Gone singer has been performing a new track High Heels while on Sink The Pink’s Pride world tour in recent weeks, sparking rumours she is planning to release it as a single.

Her spokesperson confirmed: “There is new music in the pipeline.”

But Mel C’s solo plans will not get in the way of a Spice Girls world tour.

Earlier this week it was reported it is Geri Horner who is reluctant to continue touring with the Spice Girls, following their sell-out UK tour last month.

Ginger Spice - who famously quit the girlband in 1998 - recently enjoyed a sell out reunion tour of the UK and Ireland with her former bandmates, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton. During their final show at London’s Wembley Stadium Mel B announced they would take their Spice World tour to Australia next year.

It has been reported that Horner, 46, is reluctant to commit to more live shows around the globe.

However, a source told Yahoo UK that discussions are still ongoing.

Mel B has since admitted: “So I announced it on stage, yes, without everybody else signing off 100 percent.”

There have been reports of a rift between Horner and Scary Spice after Mel B claimed she and Horner had had a fling during the Spice Girls heyday in the 90s.

Victoria Beckham held several meetings with the rest of the band last year but chose not to take part in the tour.

All five Spice Girls are to feature in a new animated movie.
