Melania Trump will sit for her first interview in more than two years to discuss her upcoming memoir this week, Fox News announced.

The former first lady will speak to Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt for the interview, which is set to air Thursday, according to Deadline. The interview comes ahead of the publication of her memoir, Melania, on Oct. 8.

An extended version of the interview will also be available on Fox Nation.

The former first lady has remained largely absent from the events held this year by her husband, Donald Trump, as he seeks a new term in the White House. She also kept away from his criminal trial in April and May, which ended with the former president’s conviction on felony charges related to a hush money payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels.

Melania Trump did step out of the shadows at several notable points this election cycle, however.

In July, she issued a rare public statement after her husband was wounded by a would-be assassin at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. She also appeared alongside the GOP nominee a few days later at the Republican National Convention, though she broke with tradition by declining to speak at the event.

More recently, the former first lady has been sharing a series of brief—and occasionally baffling—videos to drum up interest in her forthcoming book. The clips have shown her variously complaining about President Joe Biden’s 2020 election victory, grousing about the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago, and defending her decision to pose naked in photo shoots during her modeling days.
