A zoo in a suburb of Melbourne welcomed its third baby zebra of the year at the end of August.
Video from the Werribee Open Range Zoo shows zebra foal Dajan with the herd. The youngster’s name means “dark sky during heavy rain” in Swahili, according to the zoo.
Dajan is the third zebra to be born at the zoo this year, the zoo said.
“It’s amazing and really nice to have so many healthy babies out on the savannah, especially with spring now here. It’s bringing a lot of joy to the zoo team and we hope this news will bring joy to everyone at home as well,” keeper Maddy Jamieson said. Credit: Werribee Open Range Zoo via Storyful
