Melissa Gorga Honors Her Son Gino on His 16th Birthday: 'Love Calling Myself Your Mom'

The 'RHONJ' star shares her three kids with husband Joe Gorga

Melissa Gorga is taking a minute to celebrate her son.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 44, shared a series of photos with her son Gino on her Instagram on Tuesday, celebrating his 16th birthday. In the first photo, the two pose for a selfie in a car and wear matching white T-shirts. In other photos, Gino plays golf, smiles with his mom at an event and hugs the rest of his family.

"My Gino 💙 How are you 16 today?! Your focus. Your drive. Your direction. Your athleticism. And your kindness to other people are just a few of the things that make me so proud," Gorga wrote in the caption.

"You’re a gentleman in every aspect. Happy Birthday my son. I love calling myself your mom💙 @ginogorga."

Melissa shares her sons Gino, and Joey, 13, and daughter Antonia, 17, with husband Joe Gorga, 44.

In June, Melissa posted another milestone for her kids, this time sharing a few photos as her daughter Antonia attended her high school prom.

"It’s all happening.. such an exciting time in her life💙Prom one! Her original high school!! One more week until the next one! Love my sweet girl💙 @antoniagorgaa @castlecouture 👗," she captioned the post.

Fellow RHONJ star Dolores Catania commented, "She looks so beautiful !! ❤️."

Later that same month, the couple celebrated Antonia as she graduated from high school. Sharing photos from before the ceremony on Instagram, the On Display podcast host wrote, "I will NEVER not see you with an oversized bow and a gigantic tutu.💞Spread your wings and fly my girl🪽🪽🪽🪽 I love you more than you know♥️🙏🏼 @antoniagorgaa."

Joe shared photos with his daughter on his own Instagram, writing, "Just yesterday I was changing your diapers @antoniagorgaa _. #daughter #loveofmylife #graduated #graduation."

His wife responded to the caption, commenting, "Hold up!!! You never changed any diapers!!!!"

Earlier this year, Melissa spoke to PEOPLE about Antonia's plans for college.

"She needs to know what it's like to wash her own clothes and buy her own detergent. I just think she needs that," she said, noting that she feels her daughter is "very sheltered."

She continued, "I do everything for her. It's good for her to be independent and learn who she is, so I'm excited for her. It's going to be a huge change not to have her bossing us around this house like she does, but I think it's going to be great for her."
