Melting Pot and Optimo bringing two epic Halloween events to Riverside Museum
Two huge Halloween events packed with 'spooktacular music' are coming to Glasgow’s Riverside Museum thanks to Melting Pot and Optimo.
Set to be "loud enough to raise the dead", both brands are hosting the events over the weekend of November 1 and 2.
First up, on Friday (November 1), Optimo’s JD Twitch and Jonnie Wilkes are set to revive one of the city’s most popular events in the clubbing calendar.
Every Halloween for more than a decade, Optimo hosted one of the most renowned nights in the clubbing calendar, attracting music fans from all over the city and beyond to party underground at Sub Club – and now, after a 14-year hiatus, Optimo are bringing the spirit of Espookio (the name of the annual Halloween party at the Sub Club) back with the return of Optimo Halloween.

Dancing among the old trams, railway trains, vintage bars and subway stations, the event at the museum sees doors opening from 7pm until midnight.
Optimo’s Jonnie Wilkes said: “Just when we thought we were out, we get dragged back in – Optimo Halloween is back! If you're gonna get down, get down and pray!”
Then, on Saturday, November 2, the "ghosts of disco past and present" will descend upon the Riverside Museum, as the annual Melting Pot Halloween Party gets underway.
Scotland’s disco fans will be joined by stilt walkers, drag dancers and a "top soundtrack spanning the decades", allowing lovers of all things glamour and glitter to meet under the mirrorball.
A spokesperson for the event said: "Offering a terrifying night of fun, witches, zombies, werewolves and ghouls alike won’t want to miss the opportunity to get their groove on – especially in such a spooky setting.
"Doors open at 7pm (last entry 9pm) and the party ends at the stroke of midnight to give vampires plenty of time to crawl back into their coffin."
Mark Mackechnie, director of Melting Pot, said: “The disco bloodbath returns for one night only and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to the Museum for our annual Halloween party in the most amazing of venues. Get dressed up and get your disco ON!”
Tickets for both events are on sale now for Optimo and Melting Pot.
