Men fear outfit repeating more than women, study reveals

Being caught wearing the same outfit twice is considered the ultimate sartorial sin.

For years women have feared being labelled an 'outfit repeater', constantly restyling their favourite hero items and shopping for new versatile basics.

Well, now a study has discovered that we're not the only ones who have OOTD fear - men do too.

A study from Barclaycard has revealed that 10 per cent of men said that they would feel embarrassed if a friend caught them wearing the same outfit twice.

In fact, men dread recycling outfits more than women, with only seven per cent of females feeling guilty about wearing the same ensemble.

And the surprising statistics just kept on coming.

The study also uncovered that style conscious men spend more money on their annual wardrobe than women. Yes, you read that correctly.

Men shell out an average £114 a month on new gear, that's £300 more a year than the average woman.
