Whalley and Langton, both of no fixed address, appeared at Leicester Crown Court yesterday (Thursday, November 28). Whalley, 39, admitted two counts of burglary, while 40-year-old Langton pleaded guilty to three counts of the same charge.

The pair were each jailed for six months. Inspector Ryan Ludlam, from Leicestershire Police said: "I hope yesterday's outcome provides some reassurance that we take retail crime extremely seriously.

"We would encourage any business owners who have been a victim of such crimes to report them to police as soon as they can so that we can work together and bring those responsible to justice."
