This is the dramatic scene that awaited firefighters after a car burst into flames outside a restaurant in Leicestershire. The incident happened outside Barnacles Restaurant & Bar Bistro in Burbage, near Hinckley, on Friday evening (November 15).

Fire crews were called at 5.19pm to reports of a vehicle fire in Watling Street. One crew attended and found a Mercedes SUV "well alight".

A spokesperson for Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service, which attended and dealt with the incident, said an electrical fault likely caused the blaze. Firefighters contained the flames within 20 minutes, they added.
