Merkel says refugee problem can't be solved on Austrian-German border

BERLIN (Reuters) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Tuesday that Europe's refugee crisis must be addressed at the bloc's external borders not along Germany's border with Austria. Speaking at a conference of the BDA employers association in Berlin, Merkel also pleaded for a fair distribution of refugees across Europe, saying it was not acceptable for some countries to say "this has nothing to do with me".
