It might be getting closer to summer but it certainly doesn't feel like it.

Despite having a few sunny days in the past month, the weather seems to have taken a turn for the worst - depending on your preference. According to the Met Office, temperatures have so far peaked at 14°C in Liverpool today (June 9) - a far cry from the sunny 23°C conditions last month.

Temperatures are expected to reach 15°C on Monday, June 9 with sunny spells developing. But, the Met Office predicts "there will be a few well-scattered showers into the afternoon. Breezy. Feeling cool for the time of year."

Looking ahead to Tuesday to Thursday, the Met Office said: "Tuesday will see a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers. Fewer showers Wednesday. Rain likely to spread eastwards Thursday. Staying on the cool side for the time of year."

People have taken to social media to share their thoughts about the weather.

On X (formerly Twitter), @Suzieq2021 said: "Summer feels like winter today. It’s bleeding freezing." @annief1 said: Feels like winter. Brrrrr."

@MickBee91 joked: "If it looks and feels like winter then it's definitely summer. Three layers and winter waterproofs in June!" @jaredleandoer said: "It still feels like winter."
