Met Office forecasts heavy rain as flood warnings remain in Cambridgeshire
Heavy rain is forecast for Cambridgeshire as flood alerts and warnings remain in place on Sunday (September 29). The Met Office forecast shows heavy rain starting on Sunday night and easing after Tuesday (October 1).
The Met Office forecast for Monday says: "Cloudy with outbreaks of rain, locally heavy, extending northwards across all parts during the day. Windy, especially along the coasts. Feeling rather cold. Becoming drier by the evening. Maximum temperature 15C."
There are still around a dozen 'act now' flood warnings and 'be prepared' flood alerts in place in Cambridgeshire. Some roads are closed due to flooding, with residents warned to check driving routes before leaving home.

'Act now' flood warnings in Cambridgeshire
A flood warning means flooding is expected and residents should 'act now', according to the Environment Agency. Below are the areas where flood warnings are active in Cambridgeshire on Sunday:
Areas near the River Nene from Elton to Wansford, including Elton, Yarwell and Wansford.
Areas near to the River Nene from Thorpe Waterville to Eaglethorpe including Thorpe Waterville, Wadenhoe, Oundle, Cotterstock and Tansor.
River Great Ouse at Huntingdon and Hartford. Areas most likely to be affected are Waters Meet, Temple Close, Hartford Road, Tennis Court Avenue, Nursery Road and Brookside in Huntington, Main Street, Church Lane, The Grove and Old Houghton Road in Hartford.
River Great Ouse at Brampton and Godmanchester. Areas most at risk are Bromholme Lane, Buckden Road, Allens Orchard, Hawkes End, Lenton Close, Layton Crescent, Park Road, roads off of Centenary Way, Elizabethan Way, West End, Hansell Road, properties near North Road and Berry Lane in Godmanchester.
River Great Ouse at Southoe, Buckden and The Offords. Areas most at risk are Broughton Lodge Farm in Southoe, Mill Road in Buckden, High Street in Offord Darcy and Station Lane in Offord Cluny.
River Great Ouse at Little Paxton and Great Paxton. Areas most at risk are Skipper Way, Red Admiral Court, Marbled White Court, Hayling Walk and Gordon Road in Little Paxton and River Lane in Great Paxton.
Areas close to the River Great Ouse at Wyboston, Eaton Socon, Eynesbury, Eaton Ford, and St Neots. Areas most at risk are Wyboston Lakes, School Lane in Eaton Socon, Hardwick Road and Springbrook in Eynesbury, The Paddock and Crosshall Road in Eaton Ford and River Terrace, Priory Lane, Chandlers Wharf, Brook Street, Church Street and Browns Square in St Neots.
An Environment Agency spokesperson said: "The forecast is for dry weather today but some potentially heavy showers tomorrow, which will keep levels high. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger."
'Be prepared' flood alerts in Cambridgeshire
A flood alert means flooding is possible and residents should 'be prepared'. Below are the areas where flood alerts are active in Cambridgeshire on Sunday:
Hundred Foot Washes, also known as the Ouse Washes, including the causeways at Earith, Sutton Gault and Welney. There are approximately nine centimetres of water on the road at Earith.
River Nene between Wansford and the Dog-in-a-Doublet Sluice to the east of Peterborough. The river is expected to remain high with possible flooding to gardens, driveways, or outhouses close to the river.
Bury Brook from Abbots Ripton to Ramsey.
River Great Ouse from Brampton to Earith, including Back Brook, Hall Green Brook, Parsons Drove Drain, Swavesey Drain and Wadsbys Folly.
The B1041 over the River Great Ouse, south of Skipper Way between Little Paxton and St Neots in Cambridgeshire.
River Great Ouse from Wyboston to the south of Brampton, including Duloe Brook, Hen Brook, Fox Brook.
River Rhee from Guilden Morden to Haslingfield.
