Met Office says Cheshire could see up to 5cm of fresh snow tonight
The Met Office says Cheshire could expect up to 5cm of fresh snow this evening. It comes as Cheshire residents have been issued a weather warning by the Met Office once again.
The county has been hit with snow and ice this week as temperatures have plummeted. A flurry of weather warnings have been issued for the region by the Met Office, with residents being warned of travel disruption and possible dangers caused by the harsh conditions.
The latest warning has now been issued and comes into place from 3pm today (November 21) and lasts until 10am tomorrow (November 22). The yellow warning covers North Wales, most of the West Midlands, the North West and all of Scotland.

Within the latest warning, the Met Office specifically warns of snowfall through the Cheshire Gap and parts of the Midlands and North Wales.
The Met Office said: "Wintry showers are expected to gradually move south this afternoon, then feeding inland from Irish Sea and North Sea coasts at times this evening and overnight, especially through the Cheshire Gap to affect parts of the Midlands and north Wales. Where these occur 2-5cm of fresh snow is possible, with this most likely on ground above 100m.
"Icy stretches are expected to form on untreated surfaces during Thursday evening and overnight into Friday morning as temperatures drop below freezing, especially following any showers."
