Met Office weather forecast this week on Merseyside as more rain expected
Merseyside has seen a very wet and miserable start to the week as the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain. The warning was put in place from midnight on Monday, September 23 until 23.59pm the same day.
Met Office warned the poor weather could cause disruption, including spray and flooding which could impact driving conditions. The forecaster said there could be delays or cancellations to trains or bus services, homes could become flooded and a small chance of power cuts.
The heavy rain is expected to slowly clear east into Monday night and turn much drier in most places now the weather warning has ended, the forecaster predicts. However the weather is forecast to stay generally cloudy with further scattered showers developing during the early hours of Tuesday. Temperatures will stay fairly mild with a minimum temperature of 10 °C.
