The rain is coming and it's going to hang around for quite a while as Gloucestershire faces an absolute drenching in wet weather. Even though it's July and summer, the Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for rain for parts of the county.

The warning itself runs from 6pm today (Monday, July 8) until 3am tomorrow. But we can expect some wet weather outside those times - and in those parts of the county not within the warning zone.

Light rain is due to start falling around 2pm today within the Gloucestershire warning zone, but the really heavy showers are due to hit from around 7pm. Then, its nine straight hours of forecast heavy rain until 4am.
