Police in east London have busted a drugs lab contaning class A drugs.

Officers searched the property in Ilford, east London in the early hours of Thursday after securing a warrant in relation to the manufacturer and importation of Class A drugs.

Following the search, a 33-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. Officers seized 50 items from the property and a large quantity of drugs.

Inspector Noori, from the East Area Command Unit, which covers Redbridge, said: “This was a fantastic effort by the Redbridge Safer Neighbourhoods teams who continue to work hard for our communities and ensure we deal with such matters robustly.

"If you are thinking of doing such things then think again, it is only a matter of time before my teams find you and bring you to justice.”
