Metro Bank brings in major change for customers who visit UK branches
Metro Bank has made a change to 32 of its branches due to "increased demand" for services. Metro Bank has announced that it will extend its Saturday opening hours from February 1 at nearly half of its UK branches in a major boost of customers.
The chosen bank branches will open from 9.30am until 4pm, compared to the 11am until 4pm hours before. All other Metro Bank stores will remain open Monday to Friday from 9.30am until 5pm, the high street bank has added.
Kerry Reynolds, director of retail and business banking at Metro Bank, said: “Customers wanted more time on Saturday mornings and we have listened and responded. We have extended when we are open for our customers’ convenience and benefit giving them more time to meet and talk through any of their banking needs face to face with one of our colleagues.

The bank said: "You can still call us anytime Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm. If you are having trouble getting into Online Banking or the Metro Bank App, you can call during these hours: Monday to Friday from 8am to 9am, and from 6pm to 8pm or Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays from 8am to 8pm."
The bank - which is rivalled by the likes of HSBC UK, Nationwide, Lloyds, Halifax, Barclays, Santander and more - said: "We know some of our customers may need extra help to continue with their day-to-day banking. If this applies to you, please call us during these hours, and our colleagues will support you however they can."
