MFT issues update on 'system issues' at various hospital sites
Phone systems began experiencing 'issues' across a number of hospital sites in Greater Manchester on Tuesday evening (September 10).
The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) has announced the technical error is impacting a number of their sites, including the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
MFT said that the issue is currently being addressed and apologised for inconvenience caused to patients.

Phone systems have also been affected at Manchester Royal Infirmary, Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, Saint Mary’s Hospital and facilities on the Oxford Road campus.
Details about the issue has not been confirmed. MFT have been approached for further details by the Manchester Evening News.
"Important update regarding our phone systems," the statement, shared to social media said. "Manchester Royal Infirmary, Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, Saint Mary’s Hospital, the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and our facilities on Oxford Road Campus are currently experiencing issues with their phone systems.
"Please remember that if you have the MyMFT patient app you can access your hospital information there including test results, letters, upcoming appointment details and you can reply to messages from your clinical team.
"Please bear with us while we are addressing this issue – in the meantime, we apologise for any inconvenience."
