MG crashes into parked car in Coventry

A driver was left injured after crashing into a parked car in Coventry. It happened in Bell Green on Thursday (May 30).

Firefighters from Ward End in Birmingham were called to the scene at around 12.20pm. Crews found that an MG had collided with a parked vehicle on Tallants Road.

It had flipped over and came to rest on its side, according to West Midlands Fire Service. Police organised for the vehicle to be recovered.

A man, who was the driver of the MG, was found to have sustained minor injuries. He was taken to University Hospital Coventry in Walsgrave.

A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said: “Shortly after 12.20pm on Thursday (May 30), we responded to Tallants Road in Coventry. A fire engine from Ward End responded, arriving within four minutes of being mobilised.

“It was a collision between a car and a parked vehicle and the car, that came to rest on its side, was made safe. Police organised recovery of the vehicle and we left the scene at 1.06pm.”

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of an RTC on Tallants Road in Coventry at 12.06pm on Thursday (May 30). One ambulance attended and treated the driver of one car, a man, who had sustained injuries not thought to be serious. He was conveyed to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further care as a precaution.”
