Miami Flooded by Potential Tropical Cyclone One

Heavy rain caused flash flooding in Miami overnight on June 3 into June 4 as Potential Tropical Cyclone One, forecast to become a tropical storm, hit South Florida.

Footage shared by the City of Miami Fire Rescue early on Saturday morning shows cars stranded in high floodwaters. The department was responding to “multiple calls,” they said.

The department reminded motorists not to go through flooded roads.

The National Weather Service warned of the potential for “major flooding” with the possibility of coastal storm surge through Sunday. Credit: Miami Fire PIO via Storyful
