Singer Michael Buble has admitted that he considered quitting music forever.

The star, 42, has spoken about the harrowing time he went through after his infant son Noah, now 4, battled with cancer.

Speaking to the Herald Sun, Buble said he was seriously unsure if his music career was going to carry on: ‘I truly thought I’d never come back to music,’ he said. ‘Family is what matters. The health of my children is number one.’

‘I’ve been to hell,’ he admitted, following the gruelling time he and his wife Luisana Lopilato, 31, had when at the side of brave Noah.

‘You know what?’ he continued, ‘Hell seems like a really nice place to vacation compared to where we’ve been.’

Their boy was diagnosed with stomach cancer in October of 2016 and overcame the disease with the support of his family and through the treatment he received.

The couple also have another son, two-year-old Elias and are now expecting their third child – a girl.

The singer was full of praise for his strong son, saying how heroic he’s been: ‘It’s my boy. He’s a superhero, he doesn’t need to relive it over and again.’

Previously speaking to Entertainment Weekly, he said that the experience had been a life-affirming journey: ‘Emotionally, it’s a roller coaster. I think life sort of teaches you these hard lessons sometime.

‘Part of that lesson is that it allowed me to really have perspective, and to really enjoy more than I ever have in my life.

‘I enjoy the small things,’ he now says.
