The couple’s three-year-old son Noah, who’s just started treatment for liver cancer, has been told he can go home to celebrate the festive season with his family. Hurrah!

Doctors have decided the toddler is well enough to return home after completing the first stage of chemotherapy, and will now spend the big day with mum and dad and little brother Elias in California.

“The youngster has successfully finished the first stage of his treatment,” an Argentinean news site has claimed. “This is without doubt the best present for his parents and the relatives who have been helping them out since they learnt of his cancer diagnosis.

“To celebrate this good news, their families will travel to the US to spend Christmas with Noah and make it one of the most special they have had together. They are all used to spending the festive season in Vancouver but this year they will be where Noah is.”

Sounds like Noah’s in for a Christmas to remember, then – particularly since Michael’s sister Brandee has also managed to get hold of his highly sought-after present of choice, a Hatchimal! Sharing a photo of the cute toy on social media, she said: “We got Noah the Hatchimal I promised!”

41-year-old singer Michael and 29-year-old actress wife Luisana announced that Noah was suffering from cancer in a statement last month.

The couple have put their careers on hold while he battles the disease, which doctors say he has a 90% chance of surviving.
