Michael Buble pulls out of Juno Awards to care for cancer-stricken son

Last November, Michael Buble and his wife Luisana shared the heartbreaking news that their son Noah had been diagnosed with liver cancer.

The three-year-old has been receiving treatment to shrink the tumour and it is believed he is on the road to recovert, after Noah’s aunt Daniela responded to rumours last month that the prognosis looks good for the little boy.

She wrote on Twitter: “Noah is doing well, and his parents will speak when they want to.”

However, the ‘I Believe in You’ singer has dropped out of another work commitment in order to focus on caring for the little boy and will not be fronting the Juno Awards in Canada on April 2.

Michael, 41, previously stepped down as host of the BRIT Awards, which took place last month, and also pulled out of performing at the BBC Music Awards in December following Noah’s diagnosis.

What’s more, he vowed to not perform again until his son is well and he and Luisana have been quiet on social media since they discovered their son’s illness.

Michael’s friend David Foster previously said: “Michael will not sing again until his child is well, I’m certain of it. Right now he’s in a huge bubble, as you would expect.”

Let’s hope the little man’s recovery is continuing to go from strength to strength.

The Junos will instead be hosted by comedian Russell Peters alongside ‘Run to You’ hitmaker Bryan Adams and will feature performances by Alessia Cara, Shawn Mendes, and Sarah McLachlan.
