Michael Buble stopped posting photos on social media because he didn't want to be a “narcisstic d**k”.

The 44-year-old swing singer and father-of-three used to share a lot of images from his family and personal life on Instagram and Twitter but stepped back from posting such private moments in 2016.

Buble told Australia’s Daily Telegraph: “A lot of it was a philosophical change.

"To like wake up in the morning and check myself and go, 'Hey dude, you are a lucky man, go out there and show your kids with your actions', because most of my life was spent being a narcissistic d**k.”

The Feeling Good singer till has official Twitter and Instagram accounts, but they are managed by his social media team and only feature pictures from his concerts and of his fans.

In 2015 Buble faced a backlash when he posted a selfie on Instagram which showed a woman standing behind him with her back to the camera, wearing short shorts.

He captioned the photo: “There was something about this photo lu took, that seemed worthy of instagram. #myhumps #babygotback #hungryshorts #onlyinmiami #picoftheday #beautifulbum”

He was accused of sexism and body shaming the woman, who was not identified, and deleted the picture.

The singer’s eldest son Noah, six, was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2016.

In 2018 Buble said he had considered quitting music after Noah fell ill.

He said: "I truly thought I would never go back [to music]. I was done. It just seemed completely unimportant compared to what was going on with Noah."
