Michael Buble's son 'does not have leukaemia' as family speak out

Michael Buble’s sister-in-law, Daniela Lopilato, has broken her silence on her three-year-old nephew’s cancer diagnosis, confirming that he is not suffering from leukaemia.

The singer and his wife, Luisana, revealed last week that their son, Noah, had been diagnosed for cancer and understandably requested privacy as they cancelled all upcoming work commitments so that they can focus on their little boy.

However, Daniela has now spoken out to end the ongoing speculation surrounding Noah, writing in to an Argentinian show to set the record straight.

Reading out a text from Daniela, journalist Tomas Dente recited: “To tell you the truth, I’m devastated. This is very recent.

"The only thing I ask is that you don’t speculate because not everyone has children and can understand what this means.

"Michael and my sister will publish more statements and I can’t say anymore.

"But it’s not leukaemia or the central nervous system as people are saying. It’s all I can say.”

On Friday, Michael released an emotional statement on his Facebook page, breaking the news to his fans and followers.

It read: “We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the US.

"We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children.

"Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well. We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing.”

Michael and Luisana have been married for five years and are also parents to nine-month-old Elias.
